ONE TO ONE SWIMMING COURSES

Performance Kinetics

We offer technical swim training to all levels of swimmer. Concentrating on technique, we aim to bring your skill levels to the highest standard possible. The courses below are 1 to 1 tuition (one teacher and one swimmer in the pool). We believe this method gives the best results.

Training is taylored to suit you, and we can offer swim training 7 days a week, daytimes and evenings, 9am to 9pm at our VENUE >>

PAY AS YOU GO SWIMMING

Performance Kinetics currently offers 1 to 1 lessons on a pay per session basis.

Who should attend this course?

This service is for swimmers at all levels who wish to work on their swimming on a 'drop in' basis. For high performance swimming, please consult our specialist courses below.

LEARN TO SWIM

Want to learn to swim? Performance Kinetics offers 10 x 30min course that aims to get you swimming in the shortest time possible. MORE >>

Who should attend this course?

This course is aimed at novice swimmers. If you are severely aquaphobic we recommend 1:1 tuition.

IMPROVE YOUR SWIMMING

Performance Kinetics offers 5 x 1 hour lesson course that will vastly improve your swimming. We will cover breathing technique, effective propulsion and streamlining. MORE >>

Who should attend this course?

This course is aimed swimmers who have completed a 'learn to swim' programme or who can swim 25 meters.

TRIATHLON / OPEN WATER SWIMMING

This 5 x 1 hour lesson course is for current or aspiring triathletes. Full stroke analysis, written feedback and stroke correction is inclusive. We expect to drastically improve your times and reduce fatigue through building a smooth and efficient front crawl. MORE >>

This course is for swimmers who want to specialise in front crawl for Triathlon or distance swimming events.

ALL STROKES

This 8 x 1 hour lesson value course has been developed to cover in-depth technique in each of the four competitive swimming strokes. MORE >>

This course lays the foundation for good understanding of the different swimming strokes. This course would benefit both inexperienced and improving swimmers.

STROKE SPECIALITY

This 5 x 1 hour lesson course has been developed to build excellent technique in any one of the four competitive swimming strokes, building speed and endurance.

This course lays the foundation for good understanding of the different swimming strokes. This course would benefit both inexperienced and improving swimmers.

POSTURE LINE AND BALANCE WORKSHOPS

You will learn how to effectively apply correct posture to your swimming technique based upon your personal body type.

You will fully understand what it means to be truly balanced in the water, and more importantly you will learn how to control and use effortless balance for smoother and faster swimming.

Finally, you will learn how to swim the Line. Learning to Swim the Line will allow you to improve your core-based propulsion and show you the importance of correct effective swimming movements. The aim of this couse is to improve speed and reduce swimming effort. MORE >>

This course would benefit intermediate to advanced swimmers ( including triathletes and masters swimmers ) as it deals with techniques that are essential for high performance swimming. Distance swimmers will find these skills greatly reduce their swim times.

EARLY VERTICAL FOREARM : FREESTYLE/CRAWL

BREATHING TRAINING FOR SWIMMERS

Correct management of your breathing state is crucial in performing to your personal best.
Learn breathing exercises which expand you VO2 max, CO2 tolerance and mental strength. Ideal for skilled swimmers seeking competitive advantage and new swimmers looking to dispell mental discomfort.

Who should attend this course?

This course develops the cardiovascular system and CO2 tolerance. This course would benefit triathletes and masters swimmers as it deals with techniques that are essential for triathlon and masters swimming.

HIGH-PERFORMANCE SWIMMING

Instruction in High-Performance swimming.
This 3-hour workshop is for those of you who have completed the Posture, Line and Balance workshop and/or the front crawl specialty workshops and want to learn how to swim at even faster velocities, in any of the four competitive strokes. Here is what we include in this workshop:

Who should attend this course?

This is an advanced course aimed at competitive swimmers like triathletes and master's swimmers. Swimmers that swim at a good standard and compete in triathlon or masters swimming events will benefit from this course. Technique taught here has been previously used by us to train olympic standard swimming. High performance training is not available under the pay per lesson schedule.

TURNS, FINISHES AND TRANSITIONS

a 2hr work shop offering instruction in any one of the crucial disciplines of turning, finishing and stroke transitions.

Who should attend this course?

This course is aimed at triathletes and masters swimmers, swimming in a pool environment. Masters swimmers or triathletes that swim in pool based triathlon will benefit from this course.
